A School Site Facilitator is responsible for registering students for E-School courses using the HVLN/E-School Registration Site: https://hvlnreg.k12.hi.us/

Please note that there have been some recent changes to the registration site in order to enhance the communication between students, parents, school, course instructor and the E-School staff.

These changes require a site facilitator to check or enter the following information:

  • Student email address
  • Indicate whether the student has an IEP/504
  • Indicate whether the school is aware of the E-School IEP/504 Support Policy
  • Indicate whether the student meets the technical requirements for E-School
  • Select why the student is taking an E-School course
  • At least one parent/guardian name.
  • At least one parent/guardian phone number.
  • A parent/guardian email address is optional, but highly recommended. This email address should be different from the student email address.

NOTE : Please do NOT use a Yahoo email address as mail from the Hawaii DOE gets filtered into Yahoo's Bulk Mail.

Steps for registering a student are outlined below:

  • Login to the HVLN/E-School Registration Site: https://hvlnreg.k12.hi.us/
  • On the "Welcome to Student Registration" page, click on Register Nowto begin the registration process.

    NOTE: Student / Parent are required to fill out and complete an online Student Agreement Form prior to the start of each session.  A link to the online form will be provided in the registration confirmation email.

  • On the "Student Registration" page, search for the student you would like to register.
  • On the "Course Selection" page, check or enter in the required following information:
    • Does the student have an IEP/504?
    • Is the school aware of the E-School IEP/504 Support Policy? If the student has an IEP or 504, please be sure you click on the link to view the E-School IEP/504 Support Policyand understand the limited accommodations that E-School is able to provide.
    • Does the student meet the technical requirements?
    • Why is the student is taking an E-School course? Please select a reason from the drop down menu that is most appropriate:
      • Missing Required Credit
      • Credit Recovery
      • Acceleration
      • Continuity of Instruction
      • Expanded Curriculum
      • Other
    • Valid email address. Please do not use a Yahoo email address as mail from the Hawaii DOE gets filtered into Yahoo's Bulk Mail.
  • As you scroll down on the "Course Selection" page, you will need to enter in the following parent contact information:
    • At least one parent/guardian name.
    • At least one parent/guardian phone number.
    • A parent/guardian email address is optional, but highly recommended. This email address should be different from the student email address.
  • Next, select the course the student is registering for and hit Submit.

    If you forgot to fill in one of the required fields, you will be redirected back to the "Course Selection" page with notifications to complete the missing information. Be sure to fill in all required fields and hit Submit again.

    If all the required fields are completed, you will be taken to the "Review Registration" page. Please verify that the student and parent contact information and course selection is correct.
    If all the information is accurate, click REGISTER!

  • Lastly, you will be taken to the "Registration Receipt" page. This page contains the following information:
    • Student and parent contact information
    • Course information
    • Blackboard username and password
    • Indication if the student has completed the mandatory E-School Student Orientation
    • Indication if E-School has received a copy of the Student Agreement Form
  • A confirmation email will be sent to the School Site Facilitator, student, parent (if a parent email was provided) and the E-School Registrar.
